"Securing our Athletics Ontario certification for the races is a significant step, and we're aiming to attain our Athletics Canada certification in August," Versloot shared. The 2024 edition of the FCRR attracted a record-breaking 2,700 participants on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in London, Ont., signaling a remarkable surge in interest and engagement. Building on this momentum, organizers are optimistic about surpassing the 5,000-runner mark in 2025, a testament to the event's growing appeal and reach. Phil Parrot-Migas, a London resident for over a decade, is bullish about the event's trajectory, citing the current running boom as a catalyst for continued expansion.
